Considering myself a casual user, I can use it once or twice a week for both light and heavy work. It works like a beast. I only use a few decent blades that I get in quantity and change them often which is easy to do. This device works better than any other I've used. If you want a powerful yet smooth oscillator, look no further than the Mikita. Great tool, with lots of power. Easily cuts through anything I've tried (wood, steel, plastic). If it has one downside, it would be that it's heavy, but that's a minor issue. Good value too.
