A differential amplifier is an electronic amplifier, that is typically used to enhance the variation between two voltages’ input. This device is also popular for being used for mitigating the voltage to be compatible with both the inputs. How are CMRR and PSRR Abbreviated?

  • CMRR refers to the power ratio of differential gains between the common-mode gain and is the abbreviated form of the term "common mode rejection ratio." Positive decibels are used to measure this quantity.
  • PSRR refers to an amplifier's capacity to continuously maintain output voltage even when the DC voltage provided varies. Its full name is Power Supply Rejection Ratio.

Applications of the Differential Amplifier

Differential amplifiers are utilized in amplifying balanced differential signals. The reason is to ensure strong communication in a noisy environment, even if the potential of the signal is not that high. The wires that transmit data or signals must be covered or get connected since most of the induced noise is always available in the common mode, which affects the wires the same as before.
