Works great for my use as a heated press. The space between the piston and the base is a bit tight. Make sure you set the jack arm so it's in a position where you can get the most leverage on whatever it is you're pushing. You may need to unscrew the vise faceplate and realign the ram on the teeth so the arm isn't at an awkward angle when fully down. Other than aligning the piston in the cogs with the crank, this press comes out of the box pretty much ready to use. Highly recommended
