The company was established in 1985 by an entrepreneur named Hugh Facey when he was on a wet hillside in Wales talking about fencing problems with a desperate farmer. However, the company was officially created when they invented the original wire fastener in 1988 and is now registered and utilized as a global trademark for a wide range of market-leading wire joining, suspension kits and ground anchors and due to that, customers worldwide trust the Gripple brand for delivering reliable, harmless, and extreme-quality products. Today, more than 950 skilled employees in 15 different locations are working in the company, and it is proud to manufacture products on 7 different sites in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Additionally, the firm has a global existence and sales hubs in many countries, like Obernai, Chicago, Warsaw, Toronto, Kobe, and New Delhi.
