Professional Prototyping Boards with PSU
A black plastic (ABS) box with grey painted aluminium sloping top panel, incorporating mains-operated power supplies providing 5Vdc at 1A and ±5 to ±15Vdc at 500mA.
Two panel-mounted potentiometers allow independent voltage control of each rail of the dual supply.
The supply outputs are accessible via five dual-function connectors, each consisting of a 4mm socket and spring-loaded quick-connect socket (for equipment wire insertion).
The 5V rail and the dual supply are independent to improve load regulation and prevent supply noise interference.
Two professional prototype boards (

) are attached to the top panel for circuit construction. To enable larger circuits to be accommodated, additional prototype boards or extender boards (
stock no.
488-927
) may be interlocked with the top panel boards.
Two mounting brackets are supplied to enable potentiometers, switches, etc. to be mounted.
The unit is fitted with an I.E.C. mains chassis plug at the rear of the case, and supplied with a 2m lead. A 20mm fuseholder is mounted adjacent to the chassis plug, housing a 500mA anti-surge fuse for supply protection.
An illuminated double pole rocker switch provides a visual indication of supply operation.
This unit is ideal for experimental or development work avoiding the necessity of providing separate power supplies and associated interconnection leads.
