SmartEyeglass - Developer Edition
SmartEyeglass from Sony is an augmented reality, binocular eyewear. Working as an accessory to a compatible host Android device, SmartEyeglass provides the wearer with additional insight into the world in view around them. The device consists of a Headset and a Wired Controller.
SmartEyeglass connects to a host Android Device via Bluetooth or Wireless LAN. Over this connection the host device has full access to the integrated Sensors, Camera, Microphone and Speaker. A simple User Interface that features a multi-function Touch Sensor is used to control SmartEyeglass.
This developer edition is a platform for creating Android apps that takes full advantage of the functionality offered by SmartEyeglass. The device is fully supported with a comprehensive SmartEyeglass Software Development Kit (SDK) that includes tutorials, code examples and API references.
