Esselte is a leading manufacturer and seller of products that are used by offices and businesses with affiliated firms in more than 25 countries and sells products in over 120 countries worldwide founded in 1913 in Stockholm, Sweden, and is owned by an American manufacturer, ACCO brand today. The company manufactures and supplies products to most countries worldwide, including files, folders, binders, letter trays, computer accessories, staplers, and covers. The firm came into being when thirteen Swedish printing and graphic businesses joined hands to make the Sveriges Litografiska Tryckerier abbreviated as SLT, and by 1970 the company was renamed Esselte, reflecting the pronunciation of SLT. However, in 2002 the Boston-based private company known as J.W. Childs Associates bought Esselte for about $560 million. Today the company has established headquarters and is operational in most countries of the world, including the US, Africa, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Egypt, Kuwait, New Zealand, and Australia, providing quality products at reasonable prices around the globe.
