Tinker Edge R is a small and powerful Single Board Computer (SBC) from Asus that boasts a powerful Rockchip RK3399Pro SoC, Hexacore ARM Cortex processor, and ARM Mali GPU. It benefits from a Neural Network Processor (NPU) that runs Machine Learning (ML) inference in a high-efficiency manner, and the NPU is optimised for handling neural networks, bringing artificial intelligence (AI) from the cloud to local devices. It supports Debian and Android OS.
Ultimate performance for edge devices
Tinker Edge R can perform up to 3 TOPS (tera-operations per second) with the built-in Rockchip NPU AI accelerator, using only 1.5 watts at maximum loading. The integrated NPU provides high-performance ML inferencing.
The Rockchip NPU is optimised for Neural Network (NN) architecture, meaning Tinker Edge R can support multi frameworks of Machine Learning (ML) models, not only that, Tinker Edge R benefits from high performance and low power consumption in comparison to desktop-grade x86 CPU, as such, it can be used in many scenarios.
