I have been welding for many decades, always using a Radio Shack or equivalent 30 watt welder. LOTS of welds - Christmas trees on back of mixers with hundreds of spots. Miles of wiring in the studio. This started in '83. Eventually it broke and I bought it! It's as if he had been tightening bolts with his teeth for decades and finally bought a wrench! The whole experience is perhaps a thousand times easier. And the welds are spectacular. If you are undecided, spend the money now. The only downside is that it falls asleep very quickly, but just press the button and it heats up again in a minute tops. It would be nice if you could control how long you sit up before bed, but they probably do it so you don't burn your extremities. Still, an incredibly wonderful tool.
