The RS_279-8614 is a refined timer light switch produced by CP Electronics for convenient and energy-efficient lighting control in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Its adjustable time delay, 2-way switching capability, and manual override function make it a valuable tool for enhancing convenience.
A 1 gang light switch is a 2 way controller of a single circuit. It has two terminals which are commonly marked as COM or C. The common is for the live wire that supplies the input voltage to the switch. It is a 2 way switch which means having two or more switches in different locations to control a single lamp.
KH1 time lag switches are a quick and effective way to reduce energy consumption for lighting applications. Pressing the button brings the lights on; the lights will then switch off automatically after a preset time period has elapsed. These units don’t require a neutral connection, therefore they can be used to replace an existing light switch. The KH1 series come with external terminals to allow slave switches to be connected to the system to trigger the time.
First of all, turn off the power at the fuse box to avoid the risk of electrocution or risk. With the help of a voltage meter, find out the electrical circuits your lights belong to. The next step is to open up the switch, unscrew the screws on the wall plate. Use a knife or flat-head on the screwdriver to pry the plate off the wall, as it can stick in place. After that examine the wiring setup. Most homes have the in, out, and ground wires but some homes built before don’t have neutral wires. After that remove your switch. Again, ensure the power is off at the breaker. Disconnect the old light switch completely by disconnecting each wire one by one.
