For several years now I have had "joints" with 4-fold crimping pliers, made in Germany and with around 80 euros, not a cheap product. Quite often I have been annoyed by excessive crimping with sharp edges, and problems with inserting into screw terminals or "catch-on" glow terminals. Looking for a better alternative, I came across Weidmüller's inexpensive ratchet hand crimping tool. It has now been in use for a good half of the year. In application it is convincing, the 6-fold setting is flawless, never hitches, any crossings and at the end of the setting, the bezel detaches from the tool almost as if it were by itself. The quality of the pliers is convincing, there is not too much play in the joints, the fully insulated handles fit very well in the hand, and all in all a perfect tool.
