The Siemens actuator head for 3SE5 switches is designed to be mounted and replaced easily. These plug-mounted actuator heads are compatible with complete switch units as well as modular switches that come as roller plunger types. The mechanical coding of the 3SE5 (SIRIUS series) limit switches ensures deactivating safety mechanisms on protective doors and prevents tampering. The actuator operates on a simple principle mounted on the protective door, triggering a switch that opens on closing the door. The NC contacts are opened to safely break the circuit once the actuator has been removed from the switch. In addition, a bespoke product comes in a box consisting of a head with an actuator and a 3D CAD model.
