Yuasa YUCEL Series Lead Acid Rechargeable Batteries
The Yuasa YUCEL series is specially designed for general purpose applications requiring high rate discharge. The high-quality rechargeable sealed lead acid battery ensures that no electrolyte leakages occur from the case or terminals. This battery is almost maintenance-free with the perfectly sealed construction and the recombination of gases within the cell. The YUCEL batteries use a unique electrolyte suspension system incorporating a microfine glass mat (AGM) to retain the maximum amount of electrolyte in the cells. The electrolyte is retained in the separator material and there is no free electrolyte to escape from the cells.

FAQ's
GEL Vs AGM Lead Acid Batteries
AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat)
These batteries contain only enough liquid to keep the specially designed glass mat wet. The glass mat is made to wick the battery electrolytes between the battery plates. If the AGM battery is broken no free liquid leaks out.
AGM batteries are preferred when a large number of amps are required. The life expectancy remains excellent in most cases if they are not discharged more than 60% between recharges and/or recharged fully every 3-6 months.

What are lead-acid rechargeable batteries used for?
Lead-acid batteries are widely used if surge current is critical, even if other designs could provide higher energy densities. Large-format lead-acid designs are widely used in settings like hospitals, and in stand-alone power systems. Their surge current properties make them attractive for use in motor vehicles to provide the high cur...
