Digital Motor Load (kW) Monitors
Units which measure true motor load in kW featuring a digital display of kW% and programmable trips for over and/or under load events.These units protect equipment from damage caused by the motor running against a jam, blockage or under load and are also used in processes to trigger subsequent actions when predetermined load levels are reached (end point monitoring).The display is used as a reference enabling motor load, trip levels and all other variables to be displayed and programmed quickly and accurately using only three push buttons.The units are usually mounted in the motor control panel and are connected to a convenient point on the motor supply (before Inverter - if used).Therefore no external field wiring or sensors in the equipment are necessary.
In addition to displaying motor power in real time the units capture and, on demand, display the instantaneous minimum and maximum power levels to assist in setting up and fault diagnosis.Three digital delay timers, programmable from 0.1-25 seconds are incorporated to time out motor start surge and short duration over and under power events which could cause nuisance tripping.A DIP switch is used to tamper proof all settings. The HPL110 and HPL110A can be switched to either 50 or 6necessary.In0Hz operation.Both units can be operated in manual or auto-reset modes. In auto-reset mode programmable hysteresis, which provides differential between trip and reset levels is automatically enabled.The HPL 110 is DIN rail mounting whilst the HPL110A can be panel mounted.Applications include the over/underload protection of:Pumps (dry run, closed valve), Fans (broken belt, closed damper), Conveyors (screw and belt),Separation screens, Macerators, scrapers, Mechanical drives (gearboxes, chains)
