ST Robotics R12 Electric Grippers E1 – A fulcrum gripper with styled fingers ready to use The E1 gripper for the R12 robot arm is an electric gripper which uses a DC motor and leadscrew to drive the gripper fingers. The gripper includes stylised fingers with high friction rubber tips enabling it to manipulate items that can fit within the separation of the two fingers. Typical applications include pick and place routines, product handling and manipulation. The fingers are modelled into a designed shape making them instantly ready for use without further preparation or finger design. The E1 gripper is therefore ideal for education and training. The gripper can then be used for various applications depending on the range of sizes of items to be handled. Typical applications include pick and place routines, manipulation and orientation of test items and laboratory-based projects. TC17 Tool Changer The TC17 tool Changer has been exclusively designed for the ST Robotics R17 robot and requires compressed air to operate. It is supplied with all valves, circuits and software. The TC17 comprises of two parts, the robot side adapter and the tool side adapter. Robot Side Connector The robot side connector features a pneumatically powered system to expand the range of tasks an R17 robot can do at any given time. It features six M5 threaded ports for air supply and an expansion section to allow for 18 total electrical connections. Features and Benefits •Electrical contacts: 18 (Rated 5A each) •Pneumatic ports: 6 (M5 threaded) •X, Y, Z position repeatability: +/- 0.025 mm •Moment resistance: 29 nm •Torque resistance: 34 nm Product Application Information Can be used with the R17HPL version of the R17 robot arm when objects with a heavier payload require moving. Tool Side Adapter The tool side adapter features a top plate that has been designed to mount all the R17 ST Robotic attachments. There are six air ports and 18 electrical contact points and an internal socket to match the expanding barbs of the robot side adapter. It features 3 connector ports for air supply and 5 total contact pins for electrical connectivity. Tool Side Adapter The tool side adapter has an all in one sleek design and features three air ports and five contact ports for electrical connectivity. The connecting bar is able to lock in place quickly due to two slotted grooves and can be utilised in smaller tasks and projects. The adapter can utilise both electrical and air supply.
