The insulation materials used have excellent mechanical and electrical properties (over temperature range -20 °C to +70 °C) and are tested to a minimum of 10000 V, 50 Hz for 3 minutes at various stages of manufacture. The insulation is positively bonded to the tool, impact resistant, fire retardant and resistant to most acids. To ensure visual safety should the insulation become damaged, the final coat is orange and preceding coats are white
