Glenair, a leading manufacturer of high-reliability cables and connectors for sectors like industrial & mass transit, space operations, subsea oil & gas, land systems, civil aerospace, and military aerospace. The company was formed in 1956 that produced electrical connectors, backshells and other accessories. Now the firm offers dozens of full-scale connector product lines developed to meet each electrical and optical interconnect requirement, including a wide range of military-qualified connectors like the MIL-DTL-38999 Series III and the micro-miniature Series 80 Mighty Mouse. The company manufactures and provides various innovative interconnect solutions that were recognized as “a real game changer” when they were launched for the first time. Glenair is in Glendale, California; the connectors, interconnect cable assemblies, and back shells are all manufactured in the US or other manufacturing facilities in England, Italy, and Germany.
Glenair is proud to continue the long-standing tradition of manufacturing products in quality-controlled plants in the USA, or the case of certain connector products, in Western Europe. However, many interconnect manufacturers are shifting their production operations to Estonia, Mexico, India, China, and other locations.
