ABAC MIL-DTL-38999 Series III Screen Trap Backshells AB Connectors MIL-DTL-38999 series III screen trap backshells are designed with simplicity of assembly in mind, the unique method of securing the shielding or braid is achieved by securing it between a male and female thread at the cable entry point of the backshell which provides the bonding joint, no special additional tools are required (capable of terminating single, double or optimised screening), this in turn can be rubber booted for additional protection. These Mil-DTL-38999 backshells are available in small or larger cable entry types and feature mechanical strain relief and environmental sealing with a grounded backshell, manufactured from aluminium and cadmium plated.
