IP68 Piezo Actuated Switches Push switches which rely for their operation on the Piezo-electric effect. Pressure on the operating face creates a Piezo signal voltage which is internally amplified and conditioned to provide a short electrical pulse. This effects a momentary contact closure of between 10 and 1000ms depending on actuation force and speed. No moving parts, High reliability and unaffected by ESD These switches are especially suitable for outdoor, low-supervision security applications. They operate over a wide temperature range and are resistant to oils and many chemicals. The switches are available in two sizes, 18mm and 25mm and in a variety of colours. Halo illumination is available in the 25mm format. Internal limiting resistors make the LEDs suitable for 24 volt operation. Connection for non-illuminated versions is by flying leads (0.22mm²) with pre-stripped and tinned ends. For illuminated Halo versions connection is made by 2.54mm pitch standard 5 way pin-header. Panel Cut Out sizes are 22.5mm for 25mm series and 16.2mm for the 18mm series
