• ATX12V and EPS12V Power Supplies: These PSUs are designed for specific applications. ATX12V is for standard desktops, while EPS12V is for workstations and servers. They may have additional connectors for specialised components.
• 80 PLUS Certification: 80 PLUS is a certification program that measures PSU efficiency. PSUs can receive certifications like 80 PLUS Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Titanium, indicating higher efficiency levels.

Considerations When Choosing a PSU

• Wattage: Determine the power requirements of your components to choose an appropriately sized PSU. Over-specifying wattage can save energy, while under-specifying can lead to instability.
