Logic- Signal Switches, Multiplexers, and Decoders are electronic chips used to transmit and select electrical signals representing digital data. They are designed to preserve information expressed as one of two electrical states rather than an infinite variable quantity within two outside boundaries, distinguishing them from comparable products made for analog signals.
Logic signal switches take electrical or electromagnetic impulses and transform them into binary logic (digital) signals in the form of 1s and 0s. Signal Multiplexer (MUX or MPX) is a combinational logic circuit that enables the application of a controlled signal to switch one of the several input lines through a single common output line. In contrast, Signal Decoder converts a code into a group of signals. Decoders perform the opposite of encoding, but decoders are easier to build.
Significance of Logic - Signal Switches, Multiplexers and Decoders
Logic-Signal Switches are electronic devices or IC chips that disrupt the path where electrons flow (electric current). Logic- Switches are binary components, often entirely on, which means 1 in binary, or they are entirely off means 1 in binary systems. On the other hand, a Logic-Signal Multiplexer is also an electronic logic chip that enables various inputs to communicate at the same output line. Because a Multiplexer chooses which of the various data inputs are to get through the individual output, multiplexers are often called data signal selectors. Furthermore, a decoder is a device that transforms n lines of input into 2n lines of output and produces the original signal from the coded input signal. The fundamental decoding component can be an AND gate because it only generates a high output when all inputs are high.

Applications of Logic-Signal Switches, Multiplexers and Decoders
Logic-Signal Switches are implemented in military defense systems, industrial use, vehicles, space exploration, domestic and trade areas. Signal-Decoders are utilized when inputting the data into a particular output line, addressing the core memory in a computer, and binary to decimal conversions. Furthermore, signal multiplexers can be used in:
- Data transfer from computers to satellites
- Arithmetic logic unit (ALU) of computers
- Telephone networks
- Data communication system
- Serial to parallel converters
