Twisted sections 457mm long (18 in) reform into 50mm (2 in) flat sections in which the conductors are laminated parallel on a 1.27mm pitch. Insulation displacement connectors can be terminated on the flat section, thereby combining the speed and cost-saving of mass termination with the electrical performance of twisted pairs demanded in high speed digital and data communication equipment.,Each conductor is formed from 7 strands 36 awg (0.13mm diameter) tinned annealed copper wire, 28 awg (0.08mm 2 ) overall.,UL recognised style 2697. Note ®Speedbloc is a trade name of RS Components Ltd. Approvals UL; CSA Ribbon cables provide a simple, quick and cost-effective solution to mass termination.
