What is a Cable Gland?
A cable gland is a mechanical cable entry device that seals various terminals, connectors, enclosures, or electrical devices to attach and secure the end of an electrical cable. Cable glands also serve as a strain relief, grounding, insulation, and connection device. These glands are used to mount a cable in a hole already drilled.
