IK8805 - Remote switch for central circuit The IK8805 remote switch can be used to implement central circuits with which several load groups can be switched on and off from a central position. Push-button action Switch position indication Optional contact assignments 1 NO or 1 CO Compact design: 17.5 mm overall width Design and function This centrally switchable remote switch operates on the principle of the acceleration relay. After a pulse is applied to the electromagnet, the contact system changes over and retains the switch position until the next pulse follows. Depending on the device version, a group with multiple loads can be switched off with this remote switch. Each load group requires a remote switch, which can be actuated via both an external switch and a central switch. If remote switches are combined into a central circuit, any number of load groups can be centrally switched on and off. The red indicator on the front side of the device is visible if contacts 13 → 14 or 11 → 14 are closed. Note The IK8805 remote switch is designed for pulse operation! When a central circuit is being constructed, it is essential for the IK8805 to be connected to the same phase The central on and off buttons and the external switch must be connected to the same phase Schneider Electric Modular Contactors Low noise a.c. compact modular contactors and accessories are ideal for heating lighting and building service type applications. The units are designed for mounting in control panels or cabinets on symmetrical DIN rail or they may be housed in modular enclosures.
