Introduction
If we talk about renewable sources of energy, the energy which is formed directly from natural sources are known as renewable energy. We use natural resources and produce many renewable energy sources. However, we use natural sources like sun, wind, water, heat, etc., to produce many different sources of energy that are used in our life for the sake of our needs. There are many forms of energy that are renewable such as;
- Solar energy we get from the heat of the sun.
- Thermal energy is energy that is linked to the temperature
- Wind energy is another natural source.
- Biomass energy is available in the form of plants and vegetation.
- Hydro energy is also a source of energy.
- Tidal energy produces electrical energy.
And many more; however, the heat of the sun is the major source of energy in the universe.
Types of Energy:
Energy is the power that is formed by the utilization of some natural resources. This energy is of two types; renewable energy and non-renewable energy.
Renewable energy Sources:
Renewable energy sources are energy sources that is generated by natural sources, and the source can’t be run out. It is self-based energy that is formed automatically using natural sources like; solar energy, wind energy, and bioenergy. These are the main types of renewable sources. And such renewable energy sources are very useful worldwide.
Non-renewable energy:
The energy which is not replaced by naturally occurring energy is non-renewable energy. This energy is formed by the sources which are run out and can’t be replaced. There are some types of non-renewable energy, such as; coal, gas, petroleum products, fossil fuels, etc. These things are made up of non-renewable sources and do not go back to their actual original form.
Modern renewable energy sources:
There are some renewable energy sources now we are going forward to discuss them step by step:
Solar energy:
Solar energy is the energy formed directly from the sun. It is formed by using the principle of nuclear fusion. Solar energy is a very popular energy, and this energy is used for the production of electricity. In this way, electricity is formed by solar energy and directly from the radiation from the sun.
Uses of solar energy:
There are many uses of solar energy, but the most common uses are; solar electricity, solar power, heating of water, swimming pool heating, lighting home, and offices, solar ventilation, etc.
Thermal energy:
Thermal energy is the energy that is totally linked to temperature. Thermal energy is also termed heat energy. This energy is produced or formed when the temperature increases. Thermal energy is formed by simply the method when the temperature of a substance heat increases. This form of energy is briefly studied in the field of physics.
Unit of thermal energy:
This energy is measured in joules; the unit of measurement is the joule(J).
Uses of thermal energy:
The purposes where thermal energy is used are; cooking, heating, boiling, burning, warming our homes, etc. In such places, thermal energy is generally used.
Wind energy:
Wind energy is a common form of energy used worldwide by the principle of moving wind turbines with the flow of wind. This energy is the very best form of energy because it doesn’t produce any smoke or something else which causes problems in the environment. With the movement of turbines, electricity is produced. This is also mechanical power or mechanical energy, and some heavy generators convert this mechanical energy into electricity. A windmill is a basic thing; it is a structure designed with turbines; when the wind blows, these turbines show a great rotation and produce electricity.
Uses of wind energy:
Wind energy is used in many ways, such as; kite flying, generating electricity, pumping water, sailing, etc.
Biomass energy:
Biomass energy is energy that is formed by using natural sources like; plants, animal waste, household waste, and wood residues. These things are used in the production of fuel. The energy from plants and animal waste can be burned and make fuel, and also produce heat by burning these organisms. This energy is renewable energy because we use these things again and again to grow more plants, crops, trees, etc. We also make fertilizers by using them.
Uses and importance of biomass energy:
This energy is used in creating heat and biofuel converted in the form of electricity, and also used in the nutritional field, in making cleaning products like detergents, in making perfumes, etc.
This energy is very important because it fulfills our need for fuel every time we need to fill up our vehicle tank. Biomass energy is also important in providing heat in many ways.
Tidal energy:
As the name indicates, this energy is produced by the process of converting tidal energy into electrical energy and producing electricity. This energy is commonly related to hydro energy, which converts energy from tides into electricity and also converts into many ways which are helpful in our life. The tides principle is directly in contact with the moon and sun effects.
Uses of tidal energy:
Tidal energy is used in many ways, such as: to store electricity; also useful and helpful in future electrical needs because by using tidal energy, we produce a large amount of electricity for future use.
Nuclear energy:
Nuclear energy is also another form of energy that produces electricity in the form of nuclear reactions. These reactions occur and produce by the process of nuclear fission reactions and nuclear fusion reactions. Mostly these reactions occur by fission of plutonium and also uranium nuclear powers.
Uses of nuclear energy:
Nuclear energy is very useful for knowing about space. Nuclear energy fulfills some of our electricity needs. Nuclear radiations are helpful in the medical field in diagnosis and treatment. This energy is also used in the agricultural field.
Final thoughts
Now we conclude this topic of renewable sources; these all renewable energy sources are most important and helpful in our daily needs of energy. Electricity is produced by renewable sources, and this is a vital need for the survival of human beings. Fuel is another important need that comes directly from renewable sources. Fertilizers are another form of renewable source and are helpful in growing crops and plants again and again. However, renewable energy sources are most beneficial and important in our routines. Solar energy is also important to lighten up our homes and offices as well.
